We always come to the Beachcomber Cafe for my mom's birthday lunch. Atmosphere is great, food is great, and you can't beat the ocean views. I tried the new salmon plate they had, it was good but had a lot of water at the bottom. It is zucchini noodles and spinach, which explains why there was water, just wish they drained it more. We also had the Mediterranean salad, which I would give 7/10, it could use more dressing. My mom had the mahi mahi tacos and the beignets, both 10/10. Service was really fast, we felt a little rushed, but better than waiting around too long for food to arrive.

My cousins took me here for birthday lunch. You have to park across the street on Crystal Cove because the closer parking lot is for handicap parking only. Parking across the street was $15.50 paid through a QR code you can scan. There is a $2 shuttle that takes you to the restaurant area. Or you can walk across the street or down the walking trail, which we chose the walking trail and I recommend that! Next, you will be walking in sand to get to the restaurant. So take that into consideration when choosing footwear. The bathrooms are those that you see on the right hand side, before you get to the restaurant. No bathrooms inside of the restaurant. The girl who took our name and ID to get a buzzer was rude. But our server was extra friendly and attentive! We started with a few drinks and the Ahi nachos. The Ahi was so delicious and buttery. This was my favorite dish! 10/10 recommend. We all kind of just shared food so next we had the lobster roll. I'm not sure what it was but it was just too rich. That's just my opinion. The fish and chips were delicious as well! The clam chowder was just whatever. I'd order it again just because I love clam chowder but I'm also not picky about it. We were let down when we ordered the beignets because they seemed to be just pieces of puff pastry.. I don't recommend those if you've actually had real beignets before.

Marisa has CEO vibes, she effortlessly demonstrates professionalism and all around genuine leadership skills. Mother from Wisconsin approved!!! 10/10

Casual and oceanfront dining right before sunset! I loved the mini ahi tacos and mini lobster rolls. Clam chowder was amazing but wish I would've ordered a bowl for $3 more. Don't skip the beignets. 4 stars for service. 5 stars for the lovely ocean views!

This is such an amazing restaurant, everyone is so friendly and hospitality is the best. I'm in the business and want to hire them all. Andrew the manager is doing a great job, walking around checking on customers which is great customer service. Wael Gharib

We got the Beignets again. I love them, so nice, light and fluffy. My wife wishes we got the fruit crepes instead. The Savory Spinach And Mushroom Crepe was great. Basically an omelette inside a crepe. I guess I could ask for it cooked soft next time but it I still liked it as is. My wife got the Steak Chilaquiles again. It's actually pot roast. The overall flavor of the dish was great but it was very watery and soggy for some reason. Next time my wife wants to order the traditional Benedict.

We hadn't been to this beach before and were looking to find something cute near the water. Well this place was just the ticket. We got to watch the sunset from our table, which really set a nice ambiance. It is RIGHT on the sand and has such a cute vibe. You can tell it's been there forever and has a history to it. It was super kid friendly- actually had the best kids menu activities I've ever seen- my kids enjoyed it so much that they brought it home to finish it. The kids menu also had a great selection. I tried some of my son's fish and chips that were really tasty and fresh. It also came with cute little smores! The adults in our group had a hard time deciding on the menu so we opted to order a few different things and share them. Some appetizers and shareable sides- the ahi tacos, mini lobster rolls, truffle and mushroom mac. All absolutely delicious. And the icing on the cake was the amazing beignets! We saw them go out to a few tables and couldn't resist. I'd drive back to the restaurant for this alone! And finally- the service. Kellen was so friendly, informative, attentive, and personable. He was outstanding. A manager came by the table at the end of our meal to see how it went, which I always love. We'll definitely be back!

Googled "most delicious family friendly restaurants" in Newport and this was a the top of the list. Yelp confirmed. The patrons seem wise to what I wasn't... This beachside café delivers excellent food and service at the edge of the lovely Crystal Cove Beach. Any closer to the water, and you'd have to dine in your jammers or bikinis. The views are spectacular, and the people watching is top notch. And the food is super delicious... I recommend the ceviche, which will put the one at the Northgate deli to shame. You get what you pay for, and the quality is apparent. The pastas and fish are also excellent and carefully prepared to bring out the best in the ingredients. Bring a special someone or group of someones and enjoy the ambiance.

Solid place! Yummy food that's a wee bit pricey but the view is beautiful! My party of 3 arrived for our reservation a bit early. While waiting for our table, we got a drink at the bar next door. We were seated just a few minutes after our drinks were ready. As a table we split the Ahi Nachos. I had the Beachcomber Cocktail and the Miso Glazed Butterfish. For dessert, we all split the Beignets. The Ahi Nachos were tasty! Just wish there more toppings. We ended up eating most of the wonton chips bare as there was not a lot of ahi and avocado. The Beachcomber Cocktail was nice and tropical! It was sweet and easy to drink. The Miso Glazed Butterfish was a good dish. The butterfish developed a nice crispy crust. I found the overall dish just a bit on the sweet side and I found myself craving some type of acid. The fish was a tad sweet, so was the coconut rice, and the miso sauce. But everything was cooked well! Just wish there was a slice of lemon or something like that. The beignets were the all star of the meal! They were less donut-like and truly most like a fried flaky pastry. Kind of reminded me of a fried puff pastry. They were super light and airy and DELICIOUS. Chocolate sauce was fantastic as well. If I were to come back, I'd absolutely order the beignets again! ADDICTING.
